Ch. English’s Satin Brocade AX, AXJ, CD, WD “Katie”
Katie, now 11 years young, was my first agility/learner dog. She has been a joy and was very patient with my slow learning curve. She is a great ambassador of the breed and was a terrific mom. She is also the dame of Jack and Coral. Katie has 2 breed champions and a MACH from her first litter and the puppies from her second litter are still competing for their championship.
Ch. HiJinks Jack of Hearts MXJ, AX, CGC “Jack”
Jack is quite an amazing dog. He was almost retired from agility after he earned his AX, AXJ. He came out of retirement because I wanted to run a dog in the Eugene shows and his sister was in season. He earned 5 straight MXJ legs and finished his MXJ in 6 months. He now only needs 2 MX legs for his MX.
Jack has a second career as a Junior Showmanship dog for his handler Anna Gilles. In limited showing, Jack and Anna have 3 all breed Best Juniors and 1 Speciality Best Junior and are ranked in the top 10 of Springer Spaniel Junior Handlers. This year they qualified for the Eukanuba Invitational.
HiJinks Esprit de Corps AX, AXJ “Coral”
Coral is the newest of our agility family and a little “fire cracker”. She is the agility dog I always wanted. This year she earned all her AKC agility titles, Novice through Excellent. She is so much fun to run. My task is to be a good enough handler to do her justice.
Major Accomplishment:
Agility/Breed Philosophy:
Although I am a very competitive person, I believe that winning isn’t everything. Or, as coach Lombardi once said, the only thing. For me the fun is in the training and running of my dog. I am truly blessed to have a dog that keeps me on my toes and makes me laugh! My agility philosophy is: “Life is short. Enjoy the ride!”
