Barb Davis Seminar
FRIDAY, March 23rd
"Setting lines for smoother and more efficient runs"
Setting lines for your dog that lessen the presentation of off courses to the dog results in a smoother run for dog and handler. It can also mean speedier runs, for a well set path can help the dog accelerate sooner to the proper obstacle.
Saturday, March 24th
"Adding Blind Crosses to your Handling System"
In the morning you and your dog will practice short exercises to build your foundation for a strong blind cross cue. This will continue into sequences that incorporate blind crosses and Barb will discuss the decision process she uses to decide where she prefers to incorporate them.
Sunday, March 25th
Novice/Open Handling Seminar
Barb will work with handlers to improve their ability to communicate with their dog and build a better working relationship.
She will work with teams on smoothing out their cross implementation and help handlers to focus on what part of their cue their particular dog seems to focus on most. She will also present ideas on how signals are presented to aid the dog in understanding what the handler is trying to communicate. Barb will also work with handlers on training techniques to keep their dogs motivated and running with enthusiasm.
